What Is Instant Coffee and How Is It Made?

Instant coffee is made by brewing real coffee to full concentration, then removing the water through freeze-drying or spray-drying to create soluble powder. When you add hot water, the coffee dissolves instantly. Premium instant coffee uses freeze-drying, which preserves delicate aromatic compounds better than spray-drying. Torch Republic uses 100% Arabica freeze-dried instant coffee for smooth, rich flavor without bitterness.
